A stall in a tom yam restaurant, Kak Som Nasi Bubur is probably one of the better nasi bubur berlauk stalls in the Kampung Baru area. Unlike other stalls, the porridge is served completely plain, and although the portions are small, the grain used is extremely fine and well cooked. The various side dishes such as paru, hati, mushrooms as well as assorted dried fish and sotong also serve to perfectly complement the light meal. Service can be rather too leisurely even though there aren't usually very many customers about.
