New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) is a name synonymous with gaudy hairstyles, catchy melodies, twinkling preteen smiles and danceable beats. Its "bubblegum-pop" image implies aesthetic elements like flirty colors, savory textures, contrived innocence and repetitive rhythm. Thus 360 Studio showcases NKOTB as an exhibition that explores local "kitsch", displays constructions that are influenced by disparate and unconventional sources such as Pop Art, Arte Povera, Dada, Post-Minimalism, graphic novels, Nature, architecture, household objects and technology with the addition of paintings and prints that push the formal and informal boundaries of accepted images and expected themes.
