American-born jazz trombonist and member of the long-standing Count Basie Orchestra, Barry Cooper has released his first recording as a bandleader, titled Common Journey. The Barry Cooper Sextet will be kicking off their Asian tour exclusively at Alexis Bistro in Kuala Lumpur followed by anticipated dates in Tokyo, Taipei, Shanghai and Singapore. Barry will be joined by Count Basie pianist Tony Suggs & Malaysia’s own John Thomas on drums, Julian Chan on saxophone, Eddie Wen on trumpet & Wan on double bass- definitely a show not to be missed!
