It's a bright sunshiney Monday morning, so kiss the blues away!

  • Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek won the MCA presidential election last night, garnering 901 votes. This will follow with a change and resuffling of the Najib Administration. [The Malaysian Insider]
  • Amber Chia, 28, weds regular businessman in a private ceremony in Bali last week. Apparently it was a romantic beach wedding. [The Star]
  • Sinful, but delicious. Bacon, cakes, cheese... All these foods which are high in fat can cause cocaine-like addictions. It takes more than willpower to stop yourself from gorging on such treats. [CNN]
  • A 101-year old woman has a devil-like horn on her forehead. The horn, almost black in colour, measures six cm long. She could end up with another horn, on the other side, as there is something growing there. [Bild.com]
  • Collector of Coca Cola bottles? Then this you must see. Andrew Kim, student, designed the square Coke bottle in the name of eco-friendliness. Easily stacked and crushed, it also makes drinking easier. [Core 77]
  • These furry giant bunnies aren't so cute or cuddly after all. Their frozen smiles and cold, dark eyes cause these toddlers to bawl their eyes out when put on these bunnies' laps. [Los Angeles Times]
  • Dennis Hopper, sick with cancer and weighing a mere 45 kilos, received the honoured Hollywood Star of Fame last Friday. [Daily Chilli]

Just last year, Amber Chia stripped down and had her body painted to look like a tiger. She posed in a makeshift jungle with fern and broken branches, clutching a card that said "Keep Wild Animals Free. Boycott Zoos." Five months later, Amber dons the 'tiger-paint suit' again, but she's no longer in her 'natural habitat'.

Happy hump day! Here's a serving of notable reads for your procratinating perusal:

  • Get ready your little red books: Chinese president Hu Jintao visits Malaysia, and is feted extensively. One question: if we are so chummy with the commies, why can't Chin Peng come home? [Malaysian Insider]
  • The mystery continues: a freelance journalist does some online snooping about Malaysian man of mystery Jho Low, New York's current party maestro -- also connected to 1Malaysia Development Berhad. "Are our leaders seriously backing this young man?" [Laych.com]
  • If you've "cracked" your iPhone, prepare to be Rick-rolled: the first iPhone worm changes the phone's wallpaper to a pic of 1980s singer Rick Astley. [BBC News]
  • Proof that tuition is big business: Hong Kong's "celebrity tutors" drive Lamborghinis. [CNN]
  • A look into Amber Chia's home. There are giant photos of Amber everywhere. [StarProperty]
  • Bigot-alert filter: dating site BeautifulPeople.com, "for beauiful people only", has rejected nearly 1.8 million unattractive people from 190 countries. "We may be morally ugly to our critics, but our growing success is a very beautiful truth." [The Star]
  • A beautiful visual story on the Berlin Wall, comparing modern-day locales with their counterparts 20 years ago. [New York Times]
  • Scandals-galore filter: a list of the top 6 anonymous British work blogs. We'd like to see people blogging from the Economic Planning Unit, MACC, and the Prime Minister's Office, ourselves. [guardian.co.uk]
