When You Need To Be Nibbled
Posted on 03 February 2008 by didiIf you get turned on by the idea of little fishies nibbling at your feet, the newly-opened Kenko Reflexology & Fish Spa, at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, is the place for you. Introducing a relatively new concept of foot reflexology, basically, you dip your feet into a pool filled with little fishies (more specifically, garra rufa fishes), and they nibble gently at your feet, eating dead skin and promoting blood circulation in the process. The treatment is also said to subside the effects of psoriasis (a common skin disorder) and of course, like any other reflexology treatment - release stress and tension. Because we are suckers for anything new and quirky at KLue, of course we dipped our feet. In case you’re wondering, yes, you can feel the little fish nibbling – it’s ticklish. You might squirm and giggle at the beginning, but will eventually adapt to the little pokes. For a recommended dip of a minimum 30 minutes (but not more than an hour), the rates are RM 38 for adults and RM 19 for children below 12 years. With the soothing and tranquil atmosphere of the spa, the fish spa is definitely a welcome treatment after a full day of shopping. We strongly advise against feeding the little fishies with J.Co donuts.
