Van She

Indie rockers, take note. Mark these words, Van She is going to be the next big thing to hit the underground scene. With a sound that fits perfectly into a LapSap rave, Van She's material is highly rooted in the 80's - heavy on synthesizer while managing a more textured sound to maintain a fresh catchiness.
Compared to the likes of The Cure, The Strokes and Simple Minds, Van She is a four-piece band that hails from Sydney Down Under and very released their debut album, V, in August. To promote this recent release, they've been working (and partying) hard, officially launching their album across Australia. However, they have made time out of their very busy, burgeoning schedules to be a part of the Heineken Green Room line-up this 1 November.
While they've never been to Malaysia, they are looking forward to coming on down. "Expect all 12 songs from our record. We'll be playing a 50-minute set and we might throw in a few of our remixes in, considering you guys are such big fans of electro pop," Van She bassist, Michael Di Francesco enthuses.
Just so you know, Van She is also widely recognized for their tasteful remixes, having spanned everything from Klaxons and New Young Pony Club, to Dragonette and Feist. Considering November's still a month away, we'd advise you to check out their music on their MySpace page to properly prepare yourself for an awesome gig on 1 November at 9pm!
