The Lawn

The little sister to the popular Marmalade Café, The Lawn is a small, quaint eatery in Suria KLCC dishing out familiar Marmalade favourites, but simplified.
There is an exception though. Since The Lawn doesn’t have a full kitchen, some items on the menu only require to be heated up before serving. This affects certain dishes, the Aussie beef pie (RM16) for example. Served with mashed potatoes and peas, it was a bit of a letdown. Instead of juicy, chunky bits of beef, the pie was dry. If you have to have your bovine, opt for the beef lasagna (RM16) instead. The portion is generous so it’s a filling meal and definitely worth its price.
Their sandwiches are also a good bet. Try the bacon sandwich (RM16), which tasted very fresh. Also recommended are the turkey ham, bacon and spinach quiche and the spaghetti aglio olio with prawns. If we could make a suggestion, we’d ask for the latter to be served in a plate instead of a bowl because the olive oil had all dripped to the bottom. Their chicken cous cous salad had interesting texture and a satisfying bite to it, but could’ve used with more dressing because it was a tad bland. The surefire winners were the drinks. You can’t go wrong with their fruit juices or milkshakes as they were delicious.
