Blue Chilli reception at Urbanscapes

Right before the madness of Urbanscapes began, we gathered the finalists of this year KLue Blue Chilli Awards for a reception at IndiCine in KLPac. It was a small gathering of the finalists, friends and family and some of the KLue staff. Paolo Delfino kicked things off with an acoustic set ... warming up for his later performance for the Acoustic Livehouse maybe?

This year's winner was revealed and it's none other than social entrepreneur Raj Ridvan Singh! If you've read his profile you can understand why the judges chose him. He walked home with RM1,500 in cash plus prizes from Puma, Hugo Boss and L'oreal! Oh and the best part, his nominator gets to bring home RM500 as well. Oh, and BOTH won a Sony Erricson W910i phone sponsored by Pacmee. Not bad right..!

Regardless, we're pretty proud of all our finalists this year. No doubt we'll be hearing (and writing) about them in the near future.

Thank you so much KLue, the judges and sponsors for the honour.

We fully support the efforts being made to highlight the work done by youths that create a positive impact on the community and the country, regardless of industry.

Thank you once again =)

What do you wish you had more of as a child?
Pocket money! I used to get only 20sen back in school.
Respect from my parents. I am my own person!
I wish my parents listened to me, instead of keeping to the idea that "children should be seen and not heard"
Attention! My siblings took it away from me. Grrr!
Freedom. My parents never let me go out with my friends.
Brand new clothes, not hand-me-downs that were ill-fitting!
Maturity to impress and annoy the adults with.
Time! Everything happened so quickly and I miss those carefree days.
Toys, gadgets and the latest computer games, because we kids were competitive about things like that.
I certainly wish I heard less of the phrase, "When I was your age..."
