Rockonrave will be Malaysia's "first non-stop music festival". Following the influence of music festivals in the western region, Rockonrave will have two giant stages facing each other on top of Cineleisure Damansara's rooftop. It will be unusual experience as laser effects, strobe lighting and stunning visuals make this event different from the others. It is an event for a cause as well, as five percent of its proceeds will go to the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) in support of their causes towards the environment.
Underground bands and alternative familiars make up the numbers in the two day music festival, and audiences will have a treat of performances from all music genres. Show kicks off from noon till night with the likes of Butterfingers, Komplot, Republic of Brickfields, The Otherside Orchestra, Couple, Bittersweet, Oh Chentaku! to name a few of course. Butterfingers is finally doing performances again, after being inactive for a while. Then you have Couple, a power pop mainstay, with other indie acts like the wacky Britpop Bittersweet and Oh Chentaku!, the post punk trio from Kelana Jaya.
By night, it turns into another event all together as the DJs will take over and fill the atmosphere with rocking beats by Twilight Actiongirl, Shaheed Naz and Unknown Device. It looks set to be a memorable event with an imaginative combination of rock music and rave elements.

No hip hop performance?
yay! no hip hop performance!
mosh until pengsan!yeahh!
just got back from the show on sunday. honestly, it was a let down. offended by the tight security (i know theyre just doing their job, but u really think its necessary? come on la its not a black metal lineup) and expensive water (RM3 is very steep) but sound was first class. RM35 down the drain (well at least 5% of it goes to WWF so yay!)
