MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia: Katy Perry, Tokio Hotel, Wonder Girls & Bunkface CONFIRMED!
We've just received the sort of news that makes us feel like we're sitting on hotplates! Come 31 July, MTV's global concert series MTV World Stage returns to Malaysian shores, bringing with it US pop superstar Katy Perry, German rockers Tokio Hotel, chart-topping South Korean pop sensations Wonder Girls and our very own Bunkface.
Launched in 2009, MTV World Stage is a global series that brings to the fore the best live acts to music fans. Previous MTV World Stage episodes have given viewers "front row seat" experience of festivals, concerts and gigs across the globe. In August 2009, Malaysia played host to the FIRST originally produced MTV World Stage concert. About 15,000 fans made their way to Sunway Lagoon to see The All-American Rejects, Kasabian, Pixie Lott, Hoobastank, Boys Like Girls, Raygun and Estranged rocking up centre stage. The event was also broadcasted to 154 countries, reaching over 554 million households worldwide.
History will repeat itself this July when big music acts are flown in especially for MTV World Stage: Live in Malaysia. Taking place at 6pm on Saturday, 31 July, Surf Beach @ Sunway Lagoon will be the place to be.
How To Get Concert Passes:
- Make your way to Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall (Concourse) on 17 & 18 July for their roadshow to score express lane passes, and limited edition merchandise. Win 'em by showing off your best signage and enthusiasm!
- Also log on to the MTV Asia World Stage website to win passes from MTV.
These giveaways are the only way you can attend MTV World Stage: Live in Malaysia, so be prepared to win those money-can't-buy passes!
