Tucked away in the folds of Bandar Menjalara lies Niji Tepan Sushi, the locals' favourite haunt for their dose of Japanese dishes, evidently seen in their fully populated tables every night. The reason being that this place serves only the best with affordability in mind. Everything on the menu looks wonderfully tempting as are their prices. We tried their Spider Temaki (RM4), which is your typical California roll, only it comes with crunchy soft-shelled crab inside. The Sake Temaki (RM4) is also another one of their handrolls, with fresh melt-in-your-mouth salmon to savour. We also tried their Sishamo( RM8), Ebikko (RM3) and Unagi (RM13.90) and they were lip-smacking! The fish roes from the Ebikko were filled to the brim, overflowing in fact, making each bite seem like an ocean exploded in your mouth. Most of the staff prefer to speak in Mandarin though, so if you can't speak a word, just point and smile. If you're looking for good quality food minus all the unnecessary frills, we say Niji is definitely worth a try.
