Ochacha Cafe is a huge fan of green tea. In fact, their menu consists mostly green tea drinks, green tea desserts and some unassuming pastries. When we arrived at their outlet in Pavilion, it was deserted – there wasn’t even a waitress around. After waiting for a few minutes, one appeared, extremely apologetic and eager to serve. We were recommended the OChaCha Rocks (RM11.50), with is a mixture of green tea and latte. The first sip was pleasing, as you get the creaminess of milk with a twist of exotic green tea. You’d think a mixture like this would get nauseating after a while, but since the cup was loaded with more ice than drink, that won’t happen (not that this is a good thing, mind you). Opt instead for their Freezies. The Scoto Freezie (RM12), which is a blend of green tea and butterscotch, is great for non-coffee drinkers; the caramelly butterscotch is subtle but lingering. The same can be said for their Lychee Freezzie (RM12). The Matcha Azuki (RM9) cake looked bizarre, but was a well-rounded dessert: light, but packing a punch with the red bean paste. Skip their pies though, as they’re straight from the packaging into the microwave. You can do better with the price of RM6.50 (chicken pie) and RM7.50 (shepherd’s pie) elsewhere.

This cafe got rice or mee or not. It looks very expensive but their shop's design is quite nice. Not bad...:)
