MTV Asia Awards '08
We just got back from the press conference announcing the details of this year's MTV Asia Awards. The venue is confirmed to be Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands and it's set to take place on 2 August!
And the host is none other than .....
Jared Leto, frontman of 30 Seconds to Mars, hotshot Hollywood actor ... but we all remember him most from My So-Called Life, haha.
MTV's also jumping on the whole user-generated bandwagon this year by going on various platforms and inviting fans on deciding the winner in up to 10 categories. There's also a contest called "So You Wanna Be A Presenter" where YOU can win the chance to present the nominees in the awards this August. Check out www.mtvasiaawards.com for details in full glory. But, hold up, the contest and user participation will only be activated this 14 June.
As for the acts, MTV hasn't officially confirmed who they'll be yet but rest assured, we here at KLue will update this post as soon as we know. Just hold on to ya horses!
But hey, at least there's Jared Leto to look at! Yeah yeah.. we know..he's getting a lot of hate lately for fronting an emo band.. and someone should tell him that the guyliner isn't really working out for him ... BUT! Let's reflect on the good ol' days when he was in films as awesome as Fight Club and Requiem For A Dream!

UPDATES: There seems to be a bit of confusion over the MTV Asia Awards Moshpit Audition and the MTV Asia Awards Voting Party. To be clear, both are on the same day : Saturday, 19 July. The Moshpit Auditions will start at 6pm, followed by the Voting Party at 9pm. Just so everyone's clear! See you there!
