Babyface 'live' in KL! Preview

Tuesday, 02/03/10 - 10:32AM Filed in Music by yangching | Views: 2034 | Comments: 0

For those of you who are fans of R&B, this will be an event you will want to mark on your calendar. The multiple Grammy Award-winning singer, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, has Kuala Lumpur as his first stop on his South East Asian tour!

The talented musician has a host of achievements under his belt: from producing for Paula Abdul, writing songs for Boyz II Men, Michael Jackson and Aretha Franklin, to collaborating with Eric Clapton, just to name a few. His own songs have revolutionised the genre, with his smooth and effortless singing style that has won him millions of fans, with album sales of over 500 million worldwide.

His voice is instantly recognisable, and many of his songs receive a fair amount of airplay on the local radios, like "Fire" (a duet with Desiree), "Everytime I Close My Eyes", and "How Come, How Long", which we still hear to this day! The album 'The Day', which featured collaborations with artists like Mariah Carey and Stevie Wonder, earned him four Grammy Award nominations back in 1997.

Even now, Babyface has his hands full, working with Lil Wayne, Ashanti and Monica. His presence and contemporary brand of music will be well-received here, and he will be performing his classic, timeless songs with a live band to complement his vocals, so this concert will be a real treat for KL-ites.
