British Council's Young Design Entrepreneur Award '08
Tags: arts,British Council | Posted on 20 May 2008 by sarahOur friends at British Council always have the coolest things going on. Right now, they're currently on the look out for participants in their International Young Design Entreprenuer Award. To quote them, if you:
A) are running your design business with panache and flair
B) feel passionate about making a difference in design and
C) want to hang out with Tom Dixon and Sir Terrence Conran
.. then you're probably the right person for the award. What's the prize you ask? Well only £7500 to spent on a collabo project with the Council! And also, as national winner you'll participate in a 12-day tour of UK's design sector with nine other national finalists. It's a great opportunity to meet and work with some of the best young designers of today. Do check out this site for more details.
Also, British Council is hosting their third Pecha Kucha Night, bringing together creative minds to talk about equally creative things. Blastique will be spinning and there will be presentations by people like Munkao, Pop Malaya, Creative United Movement, Ridwan Kamil and Simon Keogh. Chekkitout. Definitely something to do and see on a Saturday night.
