Tortura 2: Chairs with iron spikes + other medieval torture instruments take over Melaka!
If you don't have any plans lined up for the long Chinese New Year weekend, then take a short drive to Melaka. Don't panic! We're not asking you to go around the historic city in a trishaw. We've got our eyes on Tortura 2. Having shown in historical and prestigious venues in Europe, Japan, Argentina and Mexico, Tortura 2 brings Medieval methods of torture and torture devices to life. Expect to get up close with things like :
The Judas Cradle
A torture device that had the victim, usually naked, hoisted and lowered on to the point of the pyramid. It was mainly used to stretch the anus or vagina and also to induce paind. It was allegedly used by the Spanish Inquisition to maintain Catholic to maintain Catholic orthodoxy among the community from 1478 to 1834.
The Inquisition Chair
A wooden chair blanketed with iron spikes on the back, on the arm-rests, on the seat, on the leg-rests, and on the foot-rests. Victims were fastened to the seat with the spikes piercing the victim's body.
Head Crusher with Screw & Upper Cap

With the chin placed over the bottom bar and the head under the upper cap, the torturer slowly turned the screw pressing the bar against the cap. This resulted in the head being slowly compressed. First the teeth are shattered into the jaw; then the victim slowly died with agonizing pain, but not before his eyes were squeeze from his sockets.
The Saw

The saw was a cheap way to torture and kill a victim who was often accused of: witchery, adultery, murder or even theft. In the Medieval times, the victim was tied to an inverted position where he'd be slowly cut in half.
