Miss Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy?
Well, the Pevensie siblings are back! This time, they are 1300 years old! Well, in Narnian years that is. After a year returning to England and trying to adjust back to life as students, the Pevensies are magically summoned back to Narnia by the call of Susan's magical horn. This time, Narnia is a more savage place than before. 1300 years passed, the present Narnia lies in ruins and all the Narnians are just folk tales.
The movie centres on young Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes), the heir to the throne of Telmar. The kingdom of Telmar rule most of the lands, except Narnia. Lord Miraz, the power-hungry tyrant and uncle to Caspian seeks to claim the throne as his. His master plan nearly succeeds but Caspian managed to escape in time. In a failed attempt to assinate the prince, Caspian flees into the Eastern Wood while being pursued by Miraz's men. At wits end, he summons help with Susan's magical horn. So that explains how the Pevensie siblings are brought back to Narnia.
The rest of the story is somewhat predictable. If you predicted the Pevensies return to aid Prince Caspian in reclaiming his throne, some talks of Aslan the big mythical lion and breath-taking, pants-wetting war scenes, then yeah, you pretty much figured out where the movie is going. Although you hear alot of Aslan at first, but the lion only shows up to roar at people at the end of the movie.
The good part is that Ben Barnes as Prince Caspian is given equal screen time as the Pevensies - William, Anna, Skandar and Georgie, so that you will not be bored seeing the same faces for too long. Apart from that, it's great to see many unfamiliar faces in the cast and they did make the movie exciting to watch.
If you think the first movie is a "pfft", then the second installment might change your mind - with stunning special effects, Lord of the Rings-like elaborate costumes, more funny-looking creatures and some romance as well! Talk about puppy love.
Oh and the White Witch (reprised by Tilda Swinton) made a brief appearance too!
Cast William Moseley, Anna Popplewell, Skandar Keynes, Georgie Henley, Ben Barnes, Sergio Castellitto Director Adam Adamson Runtime 144 minutes Opens 15 May

It's a REview, bitch.
hahaha! wow nick.. must've been fun calling someone a bitch not having to worry about whether it'd be offensive or not.
bitch.. have you ever read reviews? explaining the storyline is sorta needed..
whoa! our first almost-flame thread! ok, not really lah. still, it's more drama than we've ever seen around these parts.
yeah. such obscenity! sungguh liar. macam di PD. :P
What spoilers? All JC did was to describe the movie's background.
The movie itself is not as good as this review... IMO slow and rather dull. Does anyone else find the 4 Pevensies children oh-so-annoying?
