Global presents Dubfire Preview

You may know Ali Shirazinia better when he is with Sharam Tayebi. Together, they make up the Grammy-award winning DJ act, Deep Dish. On his own however, Ali Shirazinia is also known by his moniker, Dubfire.

While Deep Dish is renowned for their progressive house sound, it's quite a different story when it's just Dubfire alone. His own personal sound is noticeably deeper and darker, and touches on influences like punk, industrial/new wave, jazz, dub, hip hop, house and techno. Best known for tracks like "I Feel Speed" (featuring his own vocals!) and "Roadkill", Dubfire has received his fair share of solo accolades. Tracks like "Emissions" and "Ribcage" were both included in Resident Advisor's 100 Most Charted Records of 2007.

He also made an impression on fans at the 2008 Beatport Awards for Best Minimal Artist and Best Techno Artist (he won again in 2009). Talent ought to be shared, and Dubfire took it upon himself to nurture fresh talent by launching the label Science + Technology Digital Audio. Known in the circles as SCI + TEC, the label takes care of some of the industry's freshest talents like Simi, Paul Ritch, Luca Bacchetti, Rocha & Lewinger, Mutant Clan, Steve Mac, and Smith & Selway. Details on cover charge have not been released at time of writing, but check out Zouk's website for further updates.
