Excessive Records

Tuesday, 01/12/09 - 19:09PM Filed in Lifestyle by yangching | Views: 1340 | Comments: 0

Excessive Records is an institution when it comes to the nightlife scene. In fact, this year they are celebrating their tenth anniversary! With the advent of DIY parties, everyone wants to be, and, now, can be a DJ. And if you're gonna be at the console, you wanna look good right? At Excessive, they've personally selected and brought in a variety of kickass headphones to suit any personality type.

Commonplace brands like Technics, Sony and Pioneer sit next to harder-to-get ones like Wesc, Skullcandy, Aerial 7, Zumreed, Nixon and loads more. For the consumer, this means your pick of something more formal like the Panasonic (RP-DJ100) or something completely wacky and colourful, like the Skullcandy TI (Tokidoki) or the Skullcandy Hesh from the Paul Frank series; or the Wesc Premium Bongo headphones, featuring the Bloody Beetroots.

Bryan Burger, co-founder of Excessive, says that the choosing the headphones boils down to their value, design, colour and sound quality. "It's fun to bring them [the headphones] in," he says. "There are more chances to communicate with people with a different fashion sense and music taste, and who know their colours and design." You can also purchase these headphones (and other cool music accessories) online at their website.

What do you wish you had more of as a child?
Pocket money! I used to get only 20sen back in school.
Respect from my parents. I am my own person!
I wish my parents listened to me, instead of keeping to the idea that "children should be seen and not heard"
Attention! My siblings took it away from me. Grrr!
Freedom. My parents never let me go out with my friends.
Brand new clothes, not hand-me-downs that were ill-fitting!
Maturity to impress and annoy the adults with.
Time! Everything happened so quickly and I miss those carefree days.
Toys, gadgets and the latest computer games, because we kids were competitive about things like that.
I certainly wish I heard less of the phrase, "When I was your age..."
