The Pop Look

Tuesday, 01/12/09 - 18:51PM Filed in Lifestyle by yangching | Views: 2285 | Comments: 1

Started by sisters Joanne and Mary Anne Low, thepoplook.com stemmed from their love for online shopping in their university days. Not wanting a corporate life, Joanne and Mary started an online shop that aims to be convenient, safe and fun. "Malaysians too deserve the right to their retail fix," they say. While women's blogshops have saturated cyberspace with tacky threads, thepoplook.com sets to go against the grain.

Hand picking each item for style, quality and price, thepoplook.com carries designer brands like GUESS, Harajuku Lovers, Junkfood, Kensie Girl, Limedrop, MINKPINK, Nubra, Tresics and Inspired. "Thepoplook.com has something for everyone! Our customers can either grab a steal with a Local Trends Embellished Tank at RM30 or splurge on a Guess Ribbon Dress at RM228," say the sisters.

Framed by a clean white background, browsing the site is made easy by placing items under categories and brands. Once you've made your purchase, choose a method of payment and wait for your loot to be delivered for free! Not happy with your purchase? Fret not, as thepoplook.com accepts returns. Plans to add more brands are already underway, as Joanne and Mary are in the midst of negotiating with a few potential suppliers. Expansive choice doesn't mean they're neglecting the locally made. "We are also extremely interested in introducing local designers onto thepoplook.com," they say. "For now, we will focus primarily on womenswear. However, men's fashion is definitely on the cards!"

Thepoplook.com is updated with new arrivals every week. Prices start from RM30 onwards. Check out their site at thepoplook.com.
