Sneak Peek: Unity Song

So in the latest KLue issue (#115), we reported that Pete Teo was planning a multi-artiste song project under the banner of "Malaysian Artistes For Unity". The song "Here In My Home" was written by Pete himself, and produced by Greg Henderson. It features a bunch of local artistes including - Ning Baizura, Jaclyn Victor, Jason Lo, KLG Sqwad, Altimet and plenty more.

They recently shot their music video at KLPac which was directed by Yasmin Ahmad and Ho Yuhang with plenty of cameos by some familiar faces like Maya Karin, Afdlin Shauki, Sharifah Amani and Amber Chia made cameos on the video.

Of course, this project is not the first of its kind..it is over here in Malaysia. Props to Pete and all the people involved in bringing this project to life because they're all in it for free just to preach the message of muhibbah-ness in our country. And I must admit the song is pretty dang catchy... found myself singing it even if I didn't know the lyrics to the song.

The song and music video will be available for FREE download soon. Be on the look out for the video at the AIM Awards this 3rd May on NTV7. In the mean time here's a trailer for the music video we found on Yasmin Ahmad's blog.

I hear he's working with 10-15 local film directors for a collection of short films. Not sure when that will be out but we'll work on getting more info.
