Stuff Your Face Café Review

Monday, 23/11/09 - 20:54PM Filed in Food by sarah | Views: 5444 | Comments: 0

Stuff Your Face Café is cozy and unpretentious. Situated in the newly renovated Bangsar Shopping Centre, the café is child-friendly with an extensive kids’ menu. But everyone should feel welcome, especially with its outdoor space to enjoy an afternoon sipping cool drinks.

The Lime & Lemon Grass Spritzer (RM8) was sweet and refreshing with the right amount of bubbles. It was much better than the Pink Lemonade (RM8), which was normal lemonade with pureed strawberries. It just didn’t work.

Another hit was the Fettucine Mushroom Stroganoff (RM16). It was a fusion dish with pasta and an Asian sauce flavoured with lime, coriander and mushroom, thickened with finely crushed peanuts. There wasn’t a drop of cream in sight, making it friendly to the waistline and to vegans.

The Mini Burgers (RM16) was also commendable, with a nice bit of juicy patty in the middle and a bun that was properly toasted and buttered. The Turmeric Fried Chicken (RM18) was a huge serving of gigantic drumsticks while the Wedges (RM8) were a little disappointing, being far too soggy.

As for dessert, the Chocolate Chip Sandwich (RM6) with vanilla ice cream between rich, crumbly chocolate chips was delicious and satisfying.

Stuff Your Face Café is a great place to bring the kids or spend an afternoon lounging around. The food is not exceptional, but there are some great ideas and the friendly service and chilled atmosphere alone make it worthwhile.
