Glee, The Vampire Diaries, KAMII and more coming to a small screen near you in 2010!
2010 will definitely be a good year for TV addicts. That's because Media Prima TV Networks has just announced an exciting line up of both local and international TV programs for the new year.
Any 8TV fans here? New shows - namely The Vampire Diaries, Past Life and NCIS LA - will be added next year. For local content, 8TV presents Showdown 2010 (a reality dance program), Welcome To The Rail World (travelogue), Without Boundaries (travelogue) Whack It! (game show), KAMII (drama) and Butterfly S (sci-fi drama). 8TV will also continue to bring Hollywood shows like Desperate Housewives, American Idol, Dollhouse, Gossip Girl and more.
ntv7 will also up its offerings for its discerning audience in 2010, with much awaited shows like Eastwick, V, Glee, Drop Dead Diva, The Deep End and 100 Questions, all of which will make their nationwide debut on ntv7. Expect the return of local programmes such as Phua Chu Kang Sdn Bhd, Hartamas and What Men Want.
In 2010, TV9 will focus on reality, entertainment and drama. Be prepared for a line up that includes Jaguh (badminton reality show), Alahai Fafau (a talk show helmed by Fara Fauzana), Ting Tong (a family variety-show) and Mangkuk Tingkat (reality cooking show which features celebrities cooking up a storm). While dramas and sitcoms like Mantera, Berita Hangit, 2x5 and Lodeh will featured on TV9, you can expect to see top-rated returning shows such as Gadis Melayu 3.
As for TV3, 2010 will see the premiere of dramas like Asmara, Suraya, Nigina, Jangan Tegur Lagi and Iblis. With the extension of prime time slots, be sure to catch titles like the new Sarjan Sarji, Hati Ke Hati and Seri. There will also be 7 new big shows including Arjuna (a CGI-laden drama series), Kolej Mania (Malaysia's loose adaption of High School Musical), Soccer Kids 2 (a reality program about young football talents) and Mentor 4 (entertainment reality show). Oh and by the way, Maya Karin will be hosting TV3's women docu-magazine, NONA in 2010.
To cater to its young viewers TV3, ntv7 and TV9 will offer brand-new series of Penguins of Madagascar, Ben 10 Evolutions, Yo! Gabba Gabba!, Spongebob, Upin dan Ipin and loads more. Visit Media Prima's official site for more info.
