Restoran Nasi Berlauk Wau Bulan

Review | Posted on 30 April 2008 by denise

Kelantanese love their nasi dagang, or nasi dage as they call it there. Those brown rice served with rendang chicken spells yum, and you can look no further than Restoran Nasi Berlauk Wau Bulan.

Run by a family originally from Kelantan, the spread here is probably the closest you can get to the real deal. For nasi dagang biasa (RM3), you get rice, pickled salad, a dash of spicy chillies, and a choice of lauk—choose from good ol' rendang chicken, ikan kembung, or beef, which will set you back between RM3 to RM5 per serving. If you can't stomach all the coconut-milk-richness, there are other food available as well from the restaurant. But why go so far and miss out on Nasi Dagang right? If you want to have a big party with some homesick friends from the East Coast, the restaurant offers catering services too. So enough salivating, just head down to Selayang and fill up that empty tank with splendid Nasi Dage.
