Asian Terrace Review

Monday, 28/09/09 - 16:53PM Filed in Food by sarah | Views: 2665 | Comments: 1

In spite of an empty restaurant and an uninspired menu, Asian Terrace was a pleasant surprise. First up were the Crystal Rolls (RM12), which are made fresh to order, with a crisp stuffing of finely julienned vegetables. The chef’s mastery really came to the fore with the Catfish Mango Salad (RM17) and the show-stopping Tom Ka Chicken (RM14). In both cases, the skilful use of fish sauce resulted in an excellent balance of flavours. In terms of main course, the Grilled Beef with Homemade Sauce (RM29) and the Peanut Curry Chicken (RM19) come highly recommended. Disappointingly, Asian Terrace does not serve the Thai dessert staple of water chestnut. But few will complain about the Banana Ice Cream (RM10) with a superb grilled banana, albeit a little sweet, and the lush Honeydew Sago Ice Cream (RM9) that was particularly refreshing.
