Of Love & Death
It's been months since Talentime's release, but Yasmin Ahmad fans should be happy to know the award-winning filmmaker has two films in production. Wasurenagusa (or Forget Me Not) tells the story of 17-year old Malay girl Inom, who embarks on a journey to find her relatives in a small farming village in Japan. With Sharifah Amani as Inom, this Malaysian-Japanese co-production will begin shooting in September. Yasmin's other film Go, Thaddeus! takes the director across the Second Link for a film based on Thaddeus Cheong, a 17-year old Singaporean triathlete who collapsed at the finish line of a selection race and died soon after. The 15-day shoot commences in February next year and is set to be released in Singapore and Malaysia as a lead up to the Singapore Youth Olympics in August 2010.
