Boost Juice Lands in Malaysia & Our Top 3 Local Fruit Choices That Boost Juice Could Use
Serving up a healthy alternative to fast food, all beverages have been developed by a nutritionist and are least 98% fat-free and free from any artificial flavours and colouring, so you can second-thought that unhealthy curry puff for a quick snack.
Boost Juice will open their first store on the 2nd floor Centre Court (next to the food court) in Suria KLCC with three further outlets planned in KL for later this year.
Here's our top 3 suggestions of some local fruit favourites that we think'll be totally yum for Boost Juice beverages:
1. Mangosteen
We love crushing these babies to get the tricky (but tasty) white meat out of their shells. Mangosteen juice that's squeezed together with the shell is supposedly anti-inflammatory as well, just check out this article.
2. Soursop
We totally dig soursop's sweet 'n' sour taste. You just can't beat it juiced and served in a tall glass with lots of its pulpy seeds and ice on a hot day. Click here to find out how to make creamy soursop juice with condensed milk.
3. Durian
Love it or hate it, durian is one of those ubiquitous local fruits that you just can't escape. With an aroma that's been dubbed "the smell of hell", it's certainly an acquired taste. We think it'd go pretty well in a smoothie, though.
When we Googled "durian juice", Durian Juice Doctor came up. Hahaha, we love their intro: "Think back to a day when you felt terrific. You were in a great mood. Everything was going your way. You couldnt be stopped. You were on top of the world!" Awesome. The King of Fruits gets our thumbs up.
