Sneak Peek

Monday, 01/06/09 - 12:01PM Filed in Lifestyle by myra | Views: 669 | Comments: 0

The new Sole What? satellite store in Sungei Wang Plaza is just what you’d expect from the reigning sneaker pimps of the Klang Valley. Opened on 1 April, the store makes up for its diminutive size with jaw-dropping diversity. Just like the main store at The Gardens Mall, you’ll find all sorts of shoe brands, a few styles that you can’t get anywhere else in Malaysia: adidas, Lacoste, New Balance, Nike, Onitsuka Tiger, Puma, Reebok and Vans. You’ll also find clothing and accessories by Kikstyo, Quolomo, Kangol, and G-Shock. Packed wall-to-wall with exclusive, drool-worthy sneakers, Sole What?  stands out from the hackneyed stores crammed into Sungei Wang Plaza. Shoe prices range from RM99 for a pair of Vans to RM659 for Lacoste’s purple and black Mita high-tops. There are only 150 pairs of Mita sneakers available worldwide and, true to sneaker freak form, Sole What? has ‘em. “So far, so good,” says shop assistant Fai of business at the new store, “the crowd in Sungei Wang is knowledgeable about the items.” Looks like there’s no stopping this Sultan of Sole. Discover this satellite’s stylish offerings by heading to their boutique at Lot S-098, Second Floor, Sungei Wang Plaza, Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur. Tel: 03-2144 5811. What do you wish you had more of as a child?
Pocket money! I used to get only 20sen back in school.
Respect from my parents. I am my own person!
I wish my parents listened to me, instead of keeping to the idea that "children should be seen and not heard"
Attention! My siblings took it away from me. Grrr!
Freedom. My parents never let me go out with my friends.
Brand new clothes, not hand-me-downs that were ill-fitting!
Maturity to impress and annoy the adults with.
Time! Everything happened so quickly and I miss those carefree days.
Toys, gadgets and the latest computer games, because we kids were competitive about things like that.
I certainly wish I heard less of the phrase, "When I was your age..."
