Short+Sweet

If you're bored at home, or in the office, perhaps a rut, why not change the creative scene in 10 minutes? It's worth a shot. Enter Short+Sweet. KLPAC is set to feature 10 10-minute plays showcasing the talents of Malaysia's best young and established directors, actors and technical personnel to produce a razzle dazzle spectacular extraordinairer of a theatre festival! Interested?

First off, Short+Sweet will begin their open call for scripts and playwrights and the registration of directors and actors. Each script must be 10 minutes or less, original and unperformed from a writer aged 16 and above at the time of submission, which should be before 23 May, 5pm. Directors will be interviewed at a later date. Actor registrations will close at the same time on 15 June. Auditions will subsequently be held on 21 and 22 June.

Then after mass amounts of sweat and toil will come the inaugural Short+Sweet festival from 6 - 17 August in Pentas 2, KLPAC, featuring ten different plays each week with a climax of a Gala Final and Awards Night on 17 August. So writers, actors and directors, get cracking; audiences, practice your clapping ovations!
