Hennessy Artistry featuring Starz Angels, Caprice & VJ Spacebar Preview

Tuesday, 31/03/09 - 18:27PM Filed in Music by sarah | Views: 1463 | Comments: 2

Do you remember the last Hennessy Artistry? If your memory’s a bit fuzzy, it’s either one of two reasons—you were having too much fun on Henny, or it’s been such a long time since it happened (since you last had fun on Henny, that is). Whichever way it goes, it bodes well that the next Hennessy Artistry is finally taking place this month.

Just as a refresher: the last Hennessy Artistry party took place on 27 September—almost half a year ago! With an international line-up that included Shayne Ward, the crooner with boyband looks, upcoming rock band Until June and The DEY, a trio that many compare to the Black Eyed Peas, Hennessy Artistry packed Orange Dance Club to the brim.

Although details of the upcoming party are pretty skint at time of writing, there’s at least a confirmed date. Penangites will also be stoked to know that Hennessy Artistry will hit their northern island on 25 April as well. Guess who they’ve got performing at this event? From KL City, Caprice will be representing the Malaysian front. The 21-year-old started making waves last year when his singles “Dem Girls” and “Fantasy Girls” topped the Hitz.FM charts. The singer and rapper has swagger that is telling of his youth, but he also has loads of ambition and drive that makes him someone to look out for. Besides being a Fabolous sound-alike, Caprice also has his own label and production house.

The next act on the list hails from France. DJ duo Starz Angels fuses hip hop with other influences like funk, electro and ethnic beats to make a sound that is theirs to call their own. These partystarters definitely know how to push the buttons when it comes to the dancefloor, no matter how eclectic or different the crowd may be. They’ve filled the dance floors of Paris and London, as well as more exotic places like Marakech, Tunis and Alger. Starz Angels have even entertained a crowd of 500,000 at the Techno Parade festivals in Paris. Come April, these two will work their magic on Malaysian partygoers.
