Formerly located at Jalan Mesui, this Thai restaurant has now reopened within the vicinity of Food Foundry in Section 17. Prior to this place opening, the Thai chefs had a stall located at the Plaza Mont Kiara’s night market serving Thai specialities like som tam. Looking unlike a Thai restaurant with grey cement floors and simple white tables, the restaurant is popular with the lunch crowd. The restaurant has two separate menus for lunch and dinner. For lunch, you only have a choice of their one plate specials of RM7.90 with a choice of fried noodles, noodle soups, fried rice or rice with curries and salads. Served with a piece of fruit, salad, prawn crackers and a drink, it makes for a quick alternative for lunch. Try traditional favourites like Pad Thai - fried noodles with crushed peanuts washed down by the unusual pandan cooler, a drink with the light and refreshing taste of pandan syrup. If you’re dining here for dinner, their Tod Man Plah or Fishcakes (RM6.80) make a great appetiser – tiny flat fish cakes with a hint of kaffir lime fragrance. Also good is their Gai Tod Grahon Park Thai (RM12) with deep fried chicken bits. There’s also tomyam, green curry and even a vegetarian option of lotus root curry available. For desserts, a must-try is their Mango Pulut (RM6.50) – warm glutinous rice stuffed with yam paste and fresh mango. Not too sweet, it tastes unusual with the addition of yam paste.
