Although it’s almost a given that our fair country has a penchant for constructing mega projects at the drop of a hat, there are a few projects that actually involve and engage the people without having to cost the GNP of some small sub-Saharan nation. Project Malaysia is one such initiative.

The story of Tee Teng Nee’s foray into fashion is an interesting one, filled with twists, obstacles and ultimately, a happy ending. At 15, the young Nee (as she prefers to be called) started bringing her own designs and materials to be tailored as in the small town of Mentakab, Pahang where she grew up, there weren’t many choices in terms of fashion.

It’s been said a million times, but never with such justification. Despite its location in renowned boutique haven Bangsar Baru, new fixture Moca is nothing like your typical shop. For starters (*snicker*), Moca boasts of a radical café-inspired design concept, which its name, as well as its interior, reflects.
